Add a stylish touch to your ensemble with these gorgeous quick-knit cable boot cuffs.

Cable-boot-cuffsYou will need

  • 1 x 50g I Love Yarn Imagine DK in Granite
  • 1 x 3.75mm needles
  • 1 x 5mm needles
  • cable needle
  • yarn needle

NOTE: This was made to fit a 32cm diameter calf. Increase or decrease size in increments of four to accommodate the cabling pattern.

ABBREVIATIONS
c/on(off) – cast on(off); N(s) – needle(s); st.st – stocking stitch; st(s) – stitch(es); cn – cable needle; WS – wrong side; RS – right side; Rep – repeat

STITCHES USED
Stocking stitch: RS – knit. WS – purl.

To make Cable-boot-cuffs_2

Using 3.75 Ns and Imagine DK, c/on 65 sts.
1st, 3rd and 5th (WS) row: p1, *k1, p1; rep from * to last st, k1.
2nd, 4th and 6th row: k1, *p1, k1; rep from * to last st, p1.

CHANGE TO 5mm Ns AND BEGIN CABLING PATTERN AS FOLLOWS
1st row: k1, *p2, k4, p2; rep from * to end.
2nd row: k2, p4, k2 to end.
3rd row: p1, *p2, place 2sts on cn and hold in front, k2, k2 from cn; rep from * to last st, p1.
4th row: k1, *k2, p4, k2; rep from * to end.
Rep 1st to 4th row four times.

CHANGE TO 3.75mm Ns:
1st and 3rd (RS) rows: k1, *p1, k1; rep from * to last st, p1.
2nd and 4th rows: p1, *k1, p1; rep from * to last st, k1.
C/off loosely in rib. It’s very important to c/off loosely to retain stretch.
