Update a pair of loafers with tassels

Update a pair of loafers with tassels

Bring plain loafers bang up to date with a pair of low-cost tassels!

You’ll need

  • 4 tassels (from a haberdasher or beading shop)
  • needle and thread
  • thimble
  • plain loafers
  • scissors

To make

  1. Trim the hanging loop off the tassels, being careful not to damage the tassels.
  2. Sew two tassels onto the front of each loafer, using a thimble to help push the needle through
    the shoe.
  3. Trim loose threads and shorten the tassels if desired by trimming evenly with a sharp pair of scissors.
