Anti-ageing remedies in your kitchen cupboard

Raid the kitchen cupboard for a few quick-fix beauty solutions…

Reduce age spots: Mix 1t lemon juice with 1t honey and leave on as a mask for 15 minutes. Wash with warm water.

Soothe puffy eyes: Make a cup of white tea. When the tea has cooled, soak a facecloth in the water and place it over your eyes. This will open your pores and deflate the bags under your eyes.

Moisturise dry skin: Apply coconut oil to your face, leave on for 20 minutes, and rinse off with warm water.

Firm your skin: Make a paw-paw mask by cutting up half a ripe paw-paw and mashing it into a paste. Apply to your face, and wash away with warm water after 15 minutes.

Tighten skin and clear pores: Mix 2t rose water with 4 drops glycerine and juice of ½ lemon. Apply to your face with cotton wool before you go to bed.

Hydrate the skin: Rub a few drops of extra virgin olive oil into your skin, and add a few drops to your bath to beat scaly legs and arms.

Brighten your skin: Soak a cotton pad with pure orange juice and apply to your face and neck. Rinse and dry. Be sure to incorporate enough of it into your diet, too!

*Always test a small patch of skin before applying to your face, to make sure you are not allergic to any of the ingredients.
