Start your day with this easy to make green juice that is packed with nutrients.

INGREDIENTS

  • 5 green apples
  • 4 celery stalks
  • 100g baby spinach
  • 2 handfuls mint
  • 1 lime, peeled
  • crushed ice, to serve

METHOD

  1. Juice all the ingredients, transfer to a jug and serve over crushed ice.

  • Celery is one of the richest sources of luteolin, a plant compound said to lower the rate of age-related memory loss. Luteolin calms inflammation in the brain that can prevent the start of degeneration.
  • The nitrates found in spinach increase blood flow to the brain, improving mental performance.
