grilled onion rings with paprika

These grilled onion rings are much healthier than their deep-fried cousins, and easy to cook as the skewers keep them together.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 large onions, peeled
  • 30ml butter, melted
  • 5ml paprika

METHOD

  1. Slice the onions into thick rings and push skewers through them horizontally. Rub some butter on both sides and set aside until ready to cook.
  2. Cook on medium coals for 10 minutes, turning regularly. Sprinkle with paprika and serve immediately.
