home-made lemonade floats

Cool down with these home-made lemonade floats. They can even be served as dessert on hot summer days.

INGREDIENTS

  • 125ml sugar
  • 125ml water
  • 125ml lemon juice
  • 1L cold lemonade
  • 1L lemon sorbet
  • lemon slices, to garnish

METHOD

  1. Heat the sugar and water on medium for about 3 minutes or until sugar has dissolved. Remove from heat and stir through lemon juice. Cool.
  2. Mix lemonade through the lemon syrup and divide between 6 glasses until ¾ full. Top with a scoop of lemon sorbet. Garnish with lemon slices and serve immediately.

Variation 

For a fizz-free lemonade replace the lemonade with water to taste and replace the sorbet with ice cubes.
