You'll be the favourite if you show up to the braai with these tomato, mozzarella and basil braaibroodtjies.

- 100ml basil pesto
- 6 mini ciabattas, sliced in half
- 2 large tomatoes, sliced
- 200g mozzarella, sliced
- handful basil
- Spread the pesto onto the bottom halves of the ciabattas. Top with tomato, mozzarella and a few basil
leaves and replace the tops.
- Clamp the sandwiches in a braai grid, and place over medium to low coals until toasted and golden.
